Dressmaking for beginners – price includes pattern suitable for sizes 6-20 – Thursday Morning 9.30 to 12.30pm (2nd Jul – 6th Aug)

We will be running this 6 week course on a Thursday morning in the downstairs classroom at the back of the KMR shop

Come along to our shop in Driffield and get to grips with sewing. These sessions are the ideal introduction to dressmaking.  The class size will be limited to 4 people to ensure the best possible student/tuition ratio.

By the end of this 6 week course you will have made the Martha dress (or top if you prefer) by Tilly and the Buttons. As well as your dress (or top) and toile (a test garment) you will have your pattern and the understanding of how to make a garment from a commercial pattern, how to adjust for fit, the importance of a toile and what to do when things go wrong!

The cost of this course is £200 and includes a Tilly and the Buttons pattern, the fabric to make a toile, small class size and  unlimited tea and coffee!

In order to attend this class you need a fully working sewing machine, we can lend you one if you don’t have one . If you don’t have your own sewing machine and would like to consider buying one, we are main dealers for (amongst others) Janome, Necchi, Brother and Bernina sewing machines.

Booking terms and conditions – In the event of a cancellation, because sometimes life gets in the way of sewing!

• If KMR have to cancel a class then we will offer an alternative date or a full refund.
• If you cancel more than 4 weeks in advance we will offer to move your booking or issue a refund (refunds will be made back via the original payment method)
• If you cancel less than 4 weeks before the start of the class we will only be able to offer a refund if it is possible to fill your space.
• Unfortunately there are no refunds for courses that run over several days where you have attended one (or more of the days)
