this course is suitable for all abilities, the difficulty depends on the pattern you chose, if you would like help selecting what to make we can help (or for a fun challenge supply you with a random pattern of our choosing) – there is plenty of help available so fee free to bring something that will stretch yourself, help and advice will be on hand to guide you through the complex (and sometimes confusing) instructions of modern sewing patterns. you will learn why you should make a toile first and understand how to check fit prior to making the garment in your main fabric.
In order to attend this class you also need a fully working sewing machine. If you don’t have your own (or would rather not bring it) you can hire one of ours for £5 per session.
Class sizes are kept small, to ensure everyone gets a lot of help and guidance.
Tickets include unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits!

Booking terms and conditions – In the event of a cancellation, because sometimes life gets in the way of sewing!
- If KMR have to cancel a class then we will offer an alternative date or a full refund.
- If you cancel more than 4 weeks in advance we will offer to move your booking or issue a refund (refunds will be made back via the original payment method)
- If you cancel less than 4 weeks before the start of the class we will only be able to offer a refund if it is possible to fill your space.
- Unfortunately there are no refunds for courses that run over several days where you have attended one (or more of the days)
